David Allen, Founding Partner
David is a Senior Partner and one of the original founders of Chayton Capital. He is responsible for the firm's general operation and real estate management and strategy in Central and Eastern Europe, including overseeing valuations, lettings, sales and acquisitions. He was formerly a Partner at Knight Frank and Co-Head of the company's European Property Valuation team. He has worked with numerous institutional investors, funds and international banks, providing real estate investment and acquisition advice and support, and has been involved in all types of commercial and residential projects in virtually all major markets across Eastern and Western Europe. Prior to Knight Frank, David was based for many years in the region from where he ran his own real estate consulting company and served as advisor to many entities, including several governments and international organisations. David is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Jaromir Peklo, Managing Partner
Jaromir is a Managing Partner and member of the Central and Eastern Europe Portfolio Management team, with responsibility for asset management and direct project supervision. Prior to joining Chayton, he co-founded Aetheon Capital, a private equity firm in the Czech Republic focused on special situations in Central and Eastern Europe. Prior to that he was a Member of the Executive Board for Dexia, a leading infrastructure finance investment bank, and served as a manager with the Deloitte restructuring team, a senior officer in Treasury and Investment Banking at Raiffeisen Bank, and as an executive in the financial and commodity brokerage industry covering Central and Eastern Europe. Jaromir has also assisted in a number of renewable energy and environmentally focused projects across the region. Jaromir studied private equity and real estate finance at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and holds an MBA from INSEAD as well as an MSc. and a PhD in Management, Organizational Theory and Corporate Governance from the University of Economics in Prague.
Bryan Train, Expert Advisor
Bryan is an Expert Advisory Partner of Chayton Capital, responsible for the firm's renewable energy and circular economy strategy, including project evaluation, delivery, risk analysis and financing. Prior to joining Chayton he founded Leyborne Capital, focusing on the identification, development and financing of renewable energy projects in developed and emerging markets. Bryan began his career at DuPont's subsidiary in Spain in Finance and Accounting and subsequently moved to GMAC Rescap's Mortgage Lending Platform where he held various executive positions within their International Business Group. He was part of the North American Leadership team of Coloplast Corp, a maker of healthcare products. In addition, he was a co-founder and director of Asha Zuri Participacoes, which funded the development of 3,500 low income units in South Eastern Brazil and he also worked with a Tennessee based family office, which focused on private investments in real estate. Bryan holds a BA (Hons) in International Business and German from the European Business School in London and an Msc in Logistics, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School in London.
Tim Norman, Expert Advisor
Tim Norman is an Expert Advisor of Chayton Capital focused on structuring and financing in emerging markets. He has over 20 years' experience investing in the property markets of central and Eastern Europe. Until 2015, he was CEO of Europa Capital's Emerging Europe Fund, a €164 million real estate opportunity fund focused on Romania, Bulgaria, the Western Balkans, Ukraine and Turkey. Tim was previously a senior banker at EBRD, where he structured and closed numerous transactions utilising a variety of equity and debt instruments. He has closed deals in all geographic areas of CEE/SEE including every central European country, the Balkans, the Baltics, Russia, Ukraine, and Central Asia. Tim's previous experience includes working for Bank of America, Bank of Boston and a private UK property group as CFO. He has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and B.A. (hons) in Finance.
